Here is the oak desk with the funky copper lamp made out of discarded library books and copper. This is the second desk in the office for the exchange partners at Lethbridge Community College.
This office features a blonde [maple] desk from Quebec era the 1950s and an oak desk era the 1940s which is shown in the picture above. While work is being done at the computer on the blonde desk dramatic scenes unfold in the courtyard just outside the window. Over the years, pairs of deer, gophers, birds of all kinds, a groundhog, dogs and cats have all provided entertainment.
This the antique card catalogue in the office for the exchangee, Katherine Stark from Burton College, Burton-on-Trent, England. The window looks out on a lovely courtyard at Lethbridge Community College. Glorious May!

This is Kathy Lea from Lethbridge Community College standing beside the draw barrel for the contest. There were alot of entries and excitement over the Library display and the "Library Secrets and Mysteries Revealled!"
Lethbridge Community College held a PD conference for faculty and to familiarize faculty with the fact that starting in July 2006 it would be a different person sitting in the Library Manager's office [Katherine Stark from Burton College] we held a contest with the prize being an illustrated version of the Da Vinci Code. Katherine's image blown up for the contest made her look like the Mona Lisa which is very appropriate given the Renaissance theme for the conference.
